Team Lark, man. They were the manufacturer that eventually pushed JGTC into Super GT, the fastest GT series on Earth, because the McLaren F1 GTR is the greatest GT car on E arth and shook the sportscars of Japan, plus the team is stacked to the gills with star drivers and staff . I’ve been meaning to share the DailySportsCar article here, but guess how many clicks that kind of article gets here.

JGTC is full of amazing stories, especially when you look at how many team owners used to race in the previous decades (looking at you Team Impul & co ) . The teams themselves aren’t short for metal if we look at that recent Taisan auction.
But man the 90s was amazing for racing. The early years of true touring cars jumping curbs and completely damaged cars still finishing races, to le-mans engined speed machines and tube frames at the end of the decade.
